Miami Street Photography During Art Basel Weekend

What was a random weekend trip to the other coast ended up with us right in the middle of Art Basel weekend in Miami, Florida. Shooting street photography in Miami is arguably my favorite thing to do as a photographer, so we often come to this destination with no plans in mind other than to walk around and experience the scenes. Before you know it, we’re shooting a De Tomaso P72 which is a limited production of 72 machines to be produced. The car has also just been released so who knows how many are actually roaming the streets in the United States right now. I heard the official De Tomaso team was at the event so it may be the only one - talk about a rare sighting. To top the composition off, the famous Lori Harvey was hosting her brand’s pop-up shop right next to the car so she is also pictured in the background of the photo. I could have been like TMZ and ran up on her and took a bunch of close-up photographs but that isn’t how I go about my process.
